Rómulo Santa Rita Portugal, b. 1980
Rómulo has dedicated his professional life to the audiovisual career. For several years his plastic work remained protected in the sphere of private life. However, Rómulo has been increasingly asserting himself in the sphere of artivism using "Paper Street Art" as a technique.
Self-taught, he moved to Luanda in 2011, a city where he found the inspiration that helps define his urban interventions as a plastic expression of life and thought, materialized through compositions based on the use of alternative materials such as cardboard and books with stains of acrylic and gouache paint and carefully selected pieces of magazines and newspapers, taking into account the political, social and cultural themes that these journals address.
