UNTITLED 3: Group Show: Galeria Banco Económico
THIS IS NOT A WHITE CUBE is pleased to announce the third edition of the group exhibition "UNTITLED 3 - O Vendedor de Passados", opening on May 04. The show will take place at the Galeria Banco Económico, in Luanda, bringing together more than 50 names of national contemporary artistic production.
This large-scale cultural production, held in the format of an art salon, has marked the Angolan art scene with its periodicity and unique morphology. In this edition, and for the first time, "UNTITLED" takes on a central theme. Taken from the title of the novel by the Angolan writer José Eduardo Agualusa, "O Vendedor de Passados", it promotes a reflection on the notion of time.
The exhibition integrates the new talents of a generation of emerging artists, along with some of the primary names of reference within the contemporary art scene in Angola. Several of these artists return to the event, legitimizing the role of previous editions of UNTITLED as a mechanism for recognition of talent and as a driver of artistic careers.
