Gabriel Garcia’s work emerges from the experience of inhabiting and moving between insular and continental territories, reflecting on the non-place as an existential condition of contemporary life. His works construct spaces of suspension in which landscape, memory and the human figure coexist in a perpetual state of transition. Defined by solitude, ambiguity and estrangement, these territories become metaphors for the search for belonging and the instability of contemporary identities. In his practice, the non-place emerges as a space of possibility, where distance and indeterminacy become conditions for reinvention.

In António Faria’s artistic practice, memory and melancholy reveal the fragility of identity constructions. Through figurative, realist depictions of luxuriant nature, the artist revisits the genres of landscape and still life to construct intimate territories inhabited by traces, silences and incomplete narratives. His works evoke states of emotional distance that reflect broader experiences of fragmentation and disconnection, in which nature becomes a space of contemplation, endurance and temporal inscription.

In Cesáh’s compositions, landscape assumes a reticular organisation, shaped by the juxtaposition of objects, natural elements, architectural structures and references drawn from digital visual culture. The interplay of drawing, painting and collage techniques gives rise to discontinuous spaces in which overlapping planes and multiple points of focus guide the gaze across narrative fragments. The digital informs this construction both as an aesthetic reference and as a mode of thinking, permeating processes of association, perception and meaning-making. The archipelagic condition manifests itself in the connections established between dispersed elements, whose coexistence invites an examination of attention, memory and the construction of identity.
