Nigerian photographer Sanjo Lawal, participates in CHROMA: Contemporary Perspectives in African Photography. Bringing together three distinct photographic practices, CHROMA places the human figure at its centre, exploring how colour, composition and constructed portraiture can become tools for examining identity, culture and self-expression. Through their individual visual languages, the artists challenge familiar narratives and offer new perspectives on the diversity and evolving landscape of contemporary African photography.
The exhibition opens on 4 November, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, at Gallery F, Cape Town, bringing together three artistic perspectives on the possibilities of contemporary African photography.
