Following her acclaimed exhibition Matriz, presented by THIS IS NOT A WHITE CUBE in Lisbon, and the recent inclusion of her work at the contemporary art fair ARCO, Susana Cereja continues her artistic research with the solo exhibition Casa de Partida.
Part of the event O Tapete está na Rua 2025 (6–10 June), this exhibition brings together 14 works that take the Arraiolos stitch as a sensitive and structuring element — a thread connecting stories, memories, and ancestral gestures.
Casa de Partida unfolds between the exhibition space at the CITA – Interpretative Centre for the Arraiolos Rug and the streets of the town, where public space interventions — developed in collaboration with the communities of Arraiolos, Torrão, and Coruche — celebrate embroidery as a collective, poetic, and transformative language.
On diplay from 6 June - 28 September
