1st SOLO SHOW BY BENIGNO MANGOVO OPENS IN LUANDA

Benigno Mangovo's work is now subject of a solo exhibition for the first time with "Caleidoscópio - Retratos de um viajante" (Kaleidoscope - Portraits of a traveler). This is a completely new show, presented in Luanda following an invitation from the gallery THIS IS NOT A WHITE CUBE for an artist's residency in its creative incubation space: CUBO. The result of this experience of curatorial accompaniment and an incursion by the artist into the unique universe of the Luanda insula, the show became the launching pad for Benigno Mangovo's internationalization. This same year, he will take part in the group exhibition "Embodied Narratives" in Lisbon, which will open in May, ahead of the prominent art week in the Portuguese capital, the epicentre of which is the international contemporary art fair ARCO. At the same time, Benigno Mangovo is also part of the RMB Latitudes international art fair in South Africa, which returns to Johannesburg in May for its second edition. A unique artistic experience that brings together the artistic community from across the continent and the diaspora.
