Centro Português de Serigrafia presents This is not, a solo exhibition by António Faria, at the CPS Gallery at CCB – Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon. Opened on 14 March 2026, the exhibition brings together a group of silkscreens, lithographs and digital prints produced in recent months at Atelier CPS, revealing the artist’s sensitive and melancholic engagement with landscape.
In António Faria’s work, landscape emerges as a space of reflection on the relationship between the human condition, the natural world, and the environments we inhabit. Trees, rivers, branches, and organic forms appear through a visual language marked by intense colour, layered compositions, and a continual movement between observation and imagination.
With This is not, the artist develops a body of work in which visual exuberance coexists with an awareness of fragility. The title introduces a paradox that runs through the exhibition, opening a space of tension between affirmation and negation, image and perception, presence and disappearance.
The exhibition also reflects a living commitment to nature: in keeping with the poetic and sensitive dimension of António Faria’s practice, one tree will be planted for each work sold, in partnership with the association Plantar uma Árvore.
This work will be on view until 26 March 2026.
